About Me!
My name is Deyanira Avalos, I am 16 years old. I was born on March 4, 1996. I have two brothers and one sister. I was raised by my grandparents to whom I really appreciate all their support and patience they had over me all these years. There are many things that I love doing but the number one thing I enjoy the most is spending time with my family because they are all I have and could not ask for more. I use to play sports in my middle school, King Chaves, and the snare drums. One of my first chapter books that I read was called, Gifted Hands by John Pielmeir, and my second favorite book is, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. One thing that I hate the most is overthinking about simple things that would lead to stress. I hate stress I can not stand myself when I am stressed because im usually in a bad mood and worried.
I feel that High Tech High is preparing me to become a better student and person at the same time. This school is so different than others and that is what I like about it. I truly beleive that my effort and progress at this school would pay off at the end. What I plan to do after high school is attend a college or a four year university. The University I would like to go to is UCLA because I heard that it is one of the top ten best med. schools. When I grow up I would like to become an obstetrician. My inspiration to my future career was the book I read in my sophmore year in spanish class which was, The Hummingbirds daughter (La Hija de la Chuparrosa).
